Car Trouble!

I had a fantastic weekend but it ended with a little bit of car trouble. On Sunday around noon, my car battery completely died! I was in a large parking lot and luckily I have AAA, so I called them and they were able to jump-start my car... but not 5 minutes later, at a stoplight on the busiest street in the area, my car died in the middle of the road! The car locked up so the good samaritans who tried to help me couldn't put it in neutral to push it to the side of the road. Eventually I was able to get it towed to a Firestone where they ran an electrical test and confirmed that yes, it was indeed my battery.

$148.73 and a few hours later, my car is fixed and happy! (Thank goodness for my car fund, too.)

Hi there! Sorry, just catching up on your blog...so weird how we go through similar things. Car trouble, break up, etc. Oh, this is also my first time commenting!

But yeah, my car also died in the middle of the road. Except it has a new battery in there. Luckily you had good samaritans! I had a bunch of angry Angelenos honking at me!

The most common reason of an engine failure is a low or discharged battery. Although the alternator recharges the battery, it won’t work if the alternator is not providing enough current and results to a complete engine failure. In cases like this, it’s important that you have all the emergency numbers you need and inform the car dealership from where you bought your car immediately.
