So I'll give you my downright neighborhood name! haha. I live in Normal Heights and I LOVE it here. I work in Hillcrest so it's close to work without me having to deal with Hillcrest traffic, and we're close to grocery stores, etc. Plus it's quick to get anywhere in the city from here. AND, of course, we love our apartment, despite being just barely the right size for the 2 of us (we could use a slightly bigger living room when we have people over). I'd say I'm very attached! :)Sarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17114761234894343878noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3829756176267532933.post-41461141570943913092010-04-26T01:04:26.899-04:002010-04-26T01:04:26.899-04:00Our current location is about as perfect as it get...Our current location is about as perfect as it gets! I pay about 25% in rent, but when BF doesn't have income, rent for both of us is about 50% of my pay. My area is not walkable sadly but I am happy with the area I live in. I could pay a bit less as I am paying for a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom place and the extra space only gets used on the random time when I have friends in from out of town....but I love the extra space and my comfort is worth it for me.Luluhttp://www.howisavemoney.netnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3829756176267532933.post-53106336297919723532010-04-24T22:05:16.784-04:002010-04-24T22:05:16.784-04:00I ask myself this daily. I actually live in a very nice place in a safe neighborhood in an expensive part of the country. Given my recent salary increase, I could pay more for rent... and move closer to work (my current commute is 1 hour) but I'd rather save the money. I used to pay a lot more in rent and earn a lot less. I'm happier now.her every cent countshttp://www.hereverycentcounts.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3829756176267532933.post-61820734692872274562010-04-22T17:08:16.240-04:002010-04-22T17:08:16.240-04:00I pay around that much for my rent.
