Shoe Shopping Hiatus

For the first six months of 2010, I vow not to buy any shoes... no heels and definitely no boots! (My wardrobe needs some updating, so I will let myself buy clothes. Just no shoes.)

In 2009, I spent close to $600 on shoes! Luckily it did not come out of my normal budget, but rather from extra income, budget leftovers or gift money. Many of them will last me quite a few years and I definitely added some amazing ones to my collection. A great pair of shoes is my vice! Recently, it has been all about boots. Three I purchased myself and one was a Christmas gift. :)

Good for you! Shoes are a tough vice to avoid... they just seem so useful. I spent too much on shoes last year as well, and the sad thing is I destroyed many of them due to my weird way of walking. How much do you normally spend on one pair of shoes? What's the most expensive pair you own?

Are those middle ones by Rocket Dog? Lucky you! I don't think I went too crazy on shoes in 2009, but I AM itching for a pair of tall flat equestrian style boots. Maybe before NY...:)

Love the rain boots!

@HECC - My average shoe purchase price is $75-$100. I try to buy decent quality shoes and I do my best to take care of them! My most expensive pair is a tiger-print Linea Paolo at $120. They are a few years old now but still look good!

@HCLI - The middle are actually from Aldo! I don't think boots ever go out of style...you should treat yourself! ;)

Yikes! Perhaps a hiatus is a good thing. So hard to avoid a cute, well priced, high quality shoe though. =)
