Quarter-Life Want
Even though I recently turned 24... I'm already thinking about turning 25! I always treat myself to something on my birthday, and for my 25th I want it to be something big. Something really meaningful to me. Because, you know, 25 is some kind of milestone! ;)
I know what I want. And that I need to save $615 for it... Hence why I'm starting to save today!

Louboutins are so yummy! ;) A fantastic present for yourself :)
I currently want the Prada Fairy Tote bag, which is $2,500!!! I'm thinking on buying it IF I complete all my saving goals for 2010 AND IF I can actually part with the cash coz that's A LOT of MOOLA! LOL
SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!! I would love a pair of Louboutins, but I definitely couldn't afford them...that's the same amount of money as a month of my mortgage!
Get them on sale! And yes...they do go on sale. Just buddy up with the SA (but that also requires buying some shoes from him/her first). I got my first pair of Louboutins (they're the black Ron Ron's for around $300).
Just be careful though...one purchase leads to another!
@L.A. Daze - I've never seen the more classic Louboutins go on sale, but sure, she might get lucky.
Check out Barney's, Saks, and Neiman Marcus during sale time!
@1savvysaver: I had the Fairy bag (not the tote, the rectangular bag), and sold it on ebay a year or so back. It's pretty, but sooo fragile! The rain will make the colors run. I know you can have it sprayed with something, but it's no guarantee.
Just something to keep in mind...
@Sunflowers: you're right, i've never seen the classic ones go on sale...here in the US. I don't know why that is. I've seen them on sale in Hong Kong. Unfortunately they didn't have my size :(
@Sunflowers - Thanks! :)
@LA Daze - These are actually the cheapest I've seen them, online at Saks for $565 (the $615 is with tax)... in exactly the style/heel height I want! And I want them, like, NOW!
@Sunflower: Thanks, I'll keep that in mind if I decide to purchase the bag :)
Try Gilt. I've seen them on there several months ago.. but the black ones go FAST.
Gilt is dangerous because you basically have to stalk them. And even if you refuse to actually check the site everyday and choose to just get the emails for the notices, you still end up on the site looking at things you have no business ogling.
True story.
@WellHeeled - You got me intrigued so I signed up for Gilt...
@Revanche - Um. You said it perfectly! True story on my end, too. Oops. Even though I've never heard of 75% of the way-over-my-budget brands. Still holding out for the shoes, though! ;)
