So, I bit the bullet tonight and signed up for eHarmony! I haven't been on a date since May or seriously dated someone since last October and it's been bugging me, much like what me in millions posted about recently. Over the past month, I've been hearing a lot more about eHarmony from two girlfriends in NYC who are using it and friends of friends who have had success with it. I decided to go for it since it's the one popular dating site I haven't tried yet, and I'm paying attention to the signs that keep pointing me towards eHarmony... including two coworkers who met their spouses using it!

Over Labor Day they are offering one of their occasional "free communication" weekends... aka their awesome marketing ploy at getting people to sign up and pay! I know there are decent discounts around, so I'll test it out and see if I decide to go all-in. I'm ready for a relationship!

Good luck! I've given up (for now) on online dating, but I hope eharmony is "it" for you. All these engaged blogger ladies are making me jealous!

Hey, you never know. I think it's worth a try and that the odds are no better or no worse then meeting someone by chance in person. A heck of a lot easier then trying to go out all the time and meet people.

I have SEVERAL friends & family who are either married or in long term relationships resulting from, in case eHarmony doesn't work out! :)

@meinmillions - I agree, slightly jealous of all those who are engaged! But I just want a relationship, not a ring...yet ;)

@Frugalista - I've never had much luck meeting guys randomly anyway! And I have no desire to meet a guy at a bar anyway.

@Sara - I used Match last year & felt a bit scarred from it so I'm taking a different route this time ;)

Good luck with eHarmony! I met my hubby online thru Yahoo Personals. Been together for 7 years, married for 3 1/2. A friend of mine who signed up with Yahoo a long time ago was still getting emails about their personals, and she forwarded the email to me this summer saying that Yahoo was switching over to Match! Aw, end of an era!

Good luck! I met my wife on an internet dating site. She was my second internet date. I was her 6th but she had decided to go for 100 if necessary. The internet made it easier for me to find somebody with whom I am compatible. We have been happily married for 6 years now. All the best!
